Cleanse FAQ
Why choose a juice cleanse?
Natural juice is a live food that carries vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and enzymes to the body quickly and effectively. You need enzymes for cleansing and rebuilding. You need antioxidants to fight aging and for boosting your immune system. Raw juice is almost invisible to your digestive system since it require virtually no digestion. Nutrients are absorbed and utilized with minimal work on your digestive system. A juice cleanse gives your body a chance to rest and recover without suffering deprivation.
Better health is created by consuming whole foods and drinking alkalinizing water. Whole foods are foods that are unprocessed and unrefined as little as possible.
Liberal amounts of green based juice and a gallon of water a day, neutralizes stored acid waste, and if consumed daily in conjunction with a good diet, gently removes acids from the body. A juice cleanse supplemented with large amounts of alkaline water is both cleansing and replenishing. Fresh and natural fruit and vegetables juices are healing to the body.
Why should I cleanse? For how long?
The liver converts everything we eat and breathe into life sustaining substances, while also filtering toxins at the rate of a quart of blood per minute. A juice cleanse is designed to help your body rid itself of toxins and cleanse the blood. We choose to start slow, if you master our one day cleanse, next time try our three day! You should consult your doctor before starting major cleanse or diet.
What are the steps to take before my cleanse?
To be successful at anything, preparation is key. This is the same with any health goal including cleansing the body. At least two days before you actually start the cleanse, it is wise to start replacing foods, drinks and lifestyle choices that do not serve your health with ones that do. You will need to avoid animal products, processed sugar (high fructose syrup, artificial sweeteners, processed foods (pasta, bread, soy & prepackaged salads, soups & dressings), coffee & black tea, alcohol & salt. Avoid eating after 8 PM.
What are good or bad times to cleanse?
A general rule is not to cleanse when you have too much stress in your life. Our juice cleanses are about connecting your metal state of mind to your physical being. If you want a little help to move from one state of mind to another, a juice cleanse may be the perfect vehicle. Juicing on a daily basis, is a great way to jump start new habits and achieve mental clarity.
Should I cleanse to loose weight?
A juice cleanse is not a diet - it is a cleansing program to help rid your body of white sugar, white flour, caffeine, and processed foods. A juice cleanse teaches you which foods make you anxious, gases, or sluggish. However, if you are overweight, you may loose a few pounds. The fresh juice does have other effects on you physically, it will help to boost your overall energy, help to make your skin glow, your eyes brighten, and your hair shine.
Will I be hungry the entire time?
While at times you might feel hungry, the more you drink, the quicker the hunger feeling will pass. Drinking the alkalizing water with the lemon juice in between the detox juice is extremely important. It normally takes 20 mins for our brain to signal the feeling of "satisfaction" to the rest of the body. For the most part, you feel satisfied and pleased with the benefits you are experiencing.
What if I absolutely have to eat? What should I eat? When?
Then you should eat. If for any reason you do not want to continue, it's OK to stop. Your body will let you know exactly what it needs. It's best to only eat raw & fresh fruit and vegetables so the detox can continue in the right direction.
